Proven commercial experience in a similar role (5+ years).
Experience in managing complex IT projects, preferably in a warehousing / logistics environment.
Good customer facing skills and ability to develop lasting client relationships.
Experienced in working to strict deadlines – on-time, to budget and quality.
Prince2 Qualified, similar or equivalent experience.
Experienced in the software development lifecycle.
High level understanding of hardware infrastructure including RF networking.
Experienced in using Microsoft Office and MS Project.
Self-Motivated, able to use own initiative and confident to question.
Organised and proactive individual displaying high standards of professional conduct and attention to detail.
BA/BSc in Computer Science, Business Administration, Operations or related field.
A good level of business English writing skills / grammar.
Managing and delivering sensitive information to clients.
Ability to deal with people of all levels.
Ability to travel to customer sites when required in the UK and potentially abroad

Working on high profile projects within well known brands, the Project Manager will be directly responsible for projects being delivered and invoiced on time, to specification, within
the project budget, while enforcing the company’s project standards and methodology and minimising exposure to risk.

Project success will be achieved through solid decision making,
scheduling, customer relationships and effective utilisation of charegable resources.

This role not only maintains customer relationships, but also manages and mentors team members to achieve project success and sustained growth. Communication and organisation skills are
essential as you will need to liaise between multiple parties including the team, customers and third-party organisations to ensure smooth transition from prospect to a successfully completed project.

Working closely with the Operations Director, this is a role with a structured career path.

The company is continually looking to enhance their offering, through the use of new technologies and solutions so you need to be flexible and able to adapt your skills to work on different projects.

Own and drive the overall program of projects success by developing strategies and tactics for the project management team.

Creation, maintenance, and control of project documentation, including the production of regular project status reports.

Managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including the setting and management of client expectations and responsibilities, whilst identifying and minimising potential areas of “scope creep”.

Review deliverables prepared by the project team before delivery to clients.

Facilitate and prepare for team and client meetings, including production and delivery of presentations where required.

Manage and mentor team members to achieve project success.

Project commercial control and margin maintenance; identify up-selling opportunities and prepare client quotations and progress as appropriate.

Contribution to the annual team budget.

£45 - 50k

North West.
