SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER - MEDICAL DEVICES
Our client is an innovative high-technology business that is truly at the cutting edge of medical technology. You will be involved in designing brand new products and taking these from initial concept through to production. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company in a key-phase of their product development lifecycle.
MEng/BEng or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience. The successful applicant must have practical expertise of mechanical fabrication methods for the integration of a medical device with controller and movement me-chanics, firmware, analysis software, power supplies, optics, microfluidics and con-sumables. The successful candidate should be familiar identifying, working with, and coordinating third party component suppliers, instrument assembly contractors and consumable manufacturers to produce a fully working proto-series, taking these through all development stages to final production.
The mechanical engineer will work as part of the R&D team to translate objectives into the instrument specification plan. To develop and take said specification through all testing stages to final production.
