SCADA DESIGN ENGINEER
This company is a supplier of integrated automated supply chain technology, software and services.
Degree / HND in a relevant discipline (IT/Engineering/Computing Science). Ideally project experience on Software Design for Industrial Control Systems. Experience of SCADA configuration is essential. Also required are strong IT skills, including configuration of operating systems, installation of software packages and basic network troubleshooting. Experience of data manipulation, for example advanced Excel skills. Experience of SQL databases. Ability to work under minimum supervision. Ability to make design decisions on a project.
To configure application packages such as SCADA, SQL Server and reporting; To design visualisation and reporting of materials handling systems, to a given specification, within cost and timescale constraints. Configuration of standard packages. Design, production and test of visualisation systems. Design, production and test of data manipulation, information analysis and reporting systems. Production of all associated documentation including design specifications, plans, test specifications and manuals. Commission visualisation and reporting systems. Provide support to integrated system commissioning activities. To work closely with the project team as appropriate to ensure that they are kept informed of the status of design and commissioning activities at all times. To maintain and use wherever possible, standard procedures. To carry out specific responsibilities in the most efficient way possible. To work in such a manner as to represent the best interests of Dematic at all times. Provide technical assistance to Customer Services engineers once the job has been handed over, especially during warranty period. To maintain and improve upon personal skills related to the position, through experience and training. To comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual.
