FITTER AND SERVICE ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL - CAPITAL EQUIPMENT

Qualifications / experience required
1 HNC or similar electrical qualification.
2 Hold 17th Edition Electrical Regulations Certificate.
3 The applicant should have preferably at least 5 years experience in a machine build environment.
4 Full UK driving license.
Main Job Functions. 1. The applicant should be at ease with all aspects of electrical engineering from panel build to software installation. He/she should be knowledgeable working with electrical control systems, servo motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components. Experience working with and assembling mechanical components would be advantageous. 2. The primary role is the installation of electrical control systems on machinery. Control panel build and wiring of various components back to panel. Installation of video image systems, software installation and set up. 3. Carry out installation and service work in accordance with the company guide lines and procedures with consideration to the budgeted costs in any country worldwide to which machines are supplied. Overseas travel of approximately 10 weeks per year will be required. 4. Whilst based within the factory provide telephone/internet support from the service desk when service team are not available. 5. To complete pre delivery inspection of new machines and factory testing. To carryout rectifications after testing of a machine if required. 6. To assist in the design, development and maintenance of the electrical systems utilised in our equipment, with a focus on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability. 7. The fitter will assist other members of the production team when required to help meet delivery demands. A multi-role ethos is essential. 8. All personnel using lifting equipment should do so in line with relevant regulations, with strict awareness of other personnel within the immediate area. 9. To display a professional approach by following the company rules as laid out in the employee handbook.
