6+ year's experience with mechanical background in heavy industry including on site work.
Mechanical apprenticeship
Ability to operate hand tools as required
Ability to read blueprints and solve basic math problems.
Computing skills (including MS Outlook, Excel and Word)
Possesses a valid passport for international travel

Travel, as needed (up to 50% of the time) to perform field service support, new machine commissioning and customer failure support
Perform new machine start-up inspections and operations training.
Troubleshoot machine downtime and provide recommendations for repair or improved productivity.
Oversee onsite parts removal, installation and assembly.
Recommend parts and service solutions to improve machine uptime, maintenance and operation.
Provide written post-visit reports with a visit overview, observations, recommendations, competitive intelligence and customer feedback.
Based on field observations and customer feedback, provide equipment design and feature recommendations.
Examine work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Provide telephone and e-mail customer service support when not travelling to customer site
When required, enter parts orders, generate and follow-up parts quotes and general customer service duties.
Perform warehousing, shipping/receiving, and assembly tasks when not travelling to customer site
Other duties as assigned by company leadership
