HOME BASED UK BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
Our Client is a private limited company, wholly owned by a US traded corporation. The UK & Ireland organisation is one of the largest in their European business, delivering their full capability in both product ranges and services. They have various sites across the UK&I with offices in Leicester, Stockport, Aberdeen and Cork. Their activities include consultancy, sales, project engineering and service. The UK&I based teams work seamlessly with partner companies in India, Romania and the Philippines to provide a one-stop shop fulfilling customer needs in all aspects of process automation.
Our client has created a new role to address a key application domain; Essential Asset monitoring (EAM). Responsible for ownership of developing the UK and Ireland business growth by utilising EAM solutions, the succesful candidate will work in collaboration with core sales channel to facilitate synergy bookings whilst also proactively seeking and pursuing projects directly. The candidate will become heavily involved with the country marketing organisation to ensure we maximize on our potential market coverage and lead generation.
The Major responsibilities/expectations of this role: Identify and define applicable EAM Solutions for the relevant potential market; Promote the sale of EAM Solutions in the UK & Ireland by preparing and implementing growth strategies ensuring these are consistent with BU and European world area strategies; Directly identify and pursue business opportunities with key customers and accounts; Proactively work to maximise the wireless content of EAM Solutions; Target existing wireless enabled sites and leverage from this infrastructure to facilitate easy to implement EAM solutions; Launch new products & product updates in the UK & Ireland market place. " Produce on-going product analysis for the EAM business including bookings & sales against budget, product mix, new market penetration, average unit price etc. " Deliver product & applications training to UK & Ireland customers - both internal & external. This will include Wireless product orientated Applied Technology messaging. " Provide high level technical, product & applications support to customers - both internal & external. " Assist the field sales, project pursuit, industry & account management teams, as well as ADCs, in winning orders. This will involve joint & solo customer visits, Lunch & Learns etc. " Assist project pursuit & inside sales in prequalification & support during project bid. " Assist in the analysis of business trends such as bookings, sales & backlog data, delivery times, run rates, quote conversion rates etc. and propose corrective strategies where applicable. " Development of QBRs both within UK Marcoms as well as the BUs - ensuring finished articles are effectively used across the UK & Ireland sales teams. " Be the 'eyes & ears' for the Emerson BUs feeding back UK & Ireland market trends, product needs & competitor activities.
The role is paying a healthy £50k, with a 20% OTE bonus, as well as a car/car allowance, pension and healthcare.
