A new opportunity now exists for a permanent NPI Engineer within the Engineering department. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a strong engineering application and design background and can demonstrate an ability to read and understand engineering and technical drawings. The position would suit a candidate looking to further their career in design and applications engineering

Ideally the candidate will possess a first degree (min 2:2) in a technical discipline (preferably engineering), however as a minimum you will be educated to HNC level in a technical discipline. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential matters. Competent in AutoCAD or similar design software. The ability to effectively plan and prioritise a high volume & high variety workload. Excellent PC skills, in particular the ability to create and manipulate data in Word and Excel documents. Excellent attention to detail. Customer and service delivery focused. Have worked in a manufacturing or engineering role for a minimum of 5 years. Good communication skills with experience in dealing with high profile customers. Experience of working in the Aerospace sector is preffered, though not essential.

Completion of all New Products Engineering documentation in line with customer expectations and Company and departmental procedures. Support the RFQ process between Manufacturing and Sales units. Liaise with key customers to communicate progress of NPI and to ensure effective completion of technical documentation and procedures. Creation, interpretation and revision of technical drawings for integration of product to STH site. Align NPI activity with production and manufacturing engineering requirements. Administer the company's Technical specification procedure. Provision of engineering support that contributes to meeting customer expectations on quality, cost and delivery performance. To define, manage and technically support projects that will drive knowledge and products forward to meet the growing and challenging standards for aerospace applications. To represent the Engineering Manager and the Engineering department in a positive and professional manager that reflects the company's code of conduct.

The company is offering an excellent salary - Basic Salary, 5% annual bonus, 10% contribution pension & private health care.
