(INTERNAL) TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER - COMMUNICATIONS
The Company has over 40 years of distribution & manufacturing experience. They supply Industrial Computing, Data Communications, Measurement & Control, and Engineering Services to systems integrators, OEMs and manufacturers around the world.
This role is predominantly office based working within a team. The company do not just pay lip service to the idea of teamwork and actually pay commission on the basis of company and team performance. This ensures the culture is one of trust and group effort. It is a target driven environment but there is a very high level of training and support to help you achieve. There is a strong focus on developing people from within the company and encouraging personal and professional development. Key Tasks 3 hours a day on the phone both incoming and outgoing . Face to face site visits. Preparing and writing quotations. Research potential leads. Research companies and ascertain how to approach with what products. Liasing with manager to give feedback on progress and understand current tasks. Product knowledge. Key Competencies. Proven Sales ability. Determination/perseverance. Excellent communication skills. Listening skills. Knowledge of cold calling. Ability to work in a target driven environment. An understanding of self-motivation.
Sell their products by building strong relationships within our existing customer base and by identifying new opportunities. Work as part of the business team with Product Management, Purchasing and Technical Support personnel, to ensure a full sales, support and service offering is provided to our customers. Ensure that team and individual sales targets and objectives are achieved and exceeded. Accept and process all incoming enquiries, formulate solutions, quotations and responses within customer-defined time scales with timely follow up bringing them to a positive conclusion. Ensure customer orders, enquiries, quotations and contact information are entered accurately and promptly to the computer system. Manage customer complaints and objections in conjunction with the service and support teams. Provide reporting and forecasting of your sales opportunities on a monthly basis. Record and communicate new product suggestions and product decline indicators, to ensure our product range is kept up to date. Visit key customers, as required, to develop business opportunities. Attend exhibitions and PR functions, and be prepared to travel within the UK and overseas on business, as requested. Ensure that your product, technical and market knowledge is kept up to date. Build good working relationships with all colleagues/departments, including a duty to care and respect all co-workers. To participate fully as part of the Amplicon team. Ensure that ISO9001:2000 procedures are adhered to at all times. Any other reasonable duties as required.
Salary / commission - dependant on experience. Commission is uncapped and targets are team based. Private Healthcare + EAP scheme. Dental cover. Life assurance - 3 x basic salary. Non Contributory pension - 3% from employer / 5% if employee contributes. 25 days holiday + 8 days public holiday.
