The company is a University spin off, based around mobile robot chemist technology. We are developing a web-based platform that allows scientists to perform experiments remotely, using industrial (mobile) robots. The experiments, driven by machine-learning, are orchestrated from a software platform. Our customers are in various sectors including pharmaceuticals, materials science and personal care. We are a team of chemists with a passion for automation, and in particular autonomous research, and are looking to expend our team to help us build the robotic platform.

We are looking for someone with:

Robot cell Design

5 years collaborative robotics cell design OR 2 years of mobile robot cell design and at least 1 year of collaborative robotics

Experience with KUKA SunriseOS, KUKA LBR iiwa, KUKA KMR iiwa, KUKA Workbench for at least 2 years

The following skills are considered a plus, but not essential:
Project Management (e.g. GAMP)
Experience taking PoC installation to Pilot installation
Familiarity with .NET CORE
Interest in machine-learning and artificial intelligence, in particular Probabilistic Robotics, and Bayesian Optimization for scientific applications.
Experience/interest in lab automation, hardware integration, science in general.

We are looking for an experienced Sunrise OS Robotics Engineer, with a focus on collaborative robotics and mobile robotics.

Within this role, you will be responsible for overall robot cell design, and work in close collaboration with team of robotic developers and manufacturing engineer. Within the robot cell collaborative robotics and laboratory instruments are integrated to perform laboratory tasks. These robotic processes will be continuously integrated in robotic laboratory automation software that will allow for fully automated scientific experiments.

The tasks vary from designing software interaction between the cloud system and the instruments, but also designing and implementing specific manipulations, for example for loading an analysis instrument with sample vials.

£80 - 90k
