CNC SYSTEMS / APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
Control System design & specification. Including understanding system requirements and servo/spindle motor sizing
CNC development/setup, test & commissioning
Servo/Spindle setup and tuning
Electrical & mechanical fault finding
C/C++, .NET, VB etc. programming
Relationship building (i.e. with customers)
A-levels - Maths, Physics, Product Design
Electrical & Electronic Engineering MEng(hons)
Alternates might be straight Electrical or Electronic, Controls, Mechatronics or even Mechanical
The purpose of the role will be to provide technical support and establish relationships with machine tool builders and manage and drive projects. You will be expected to - as part of the duties and responsibilities of the role, provide:
Technical Project Managing and Support
Support of technical development departments of machine tools companies on all kinds of CNC, Open CNC, PMC, Servo and Spindle Items
Preparation of control concepts and component lists
Global management of all problems and questions regarding the project between MTB's, automotive, aerospace and project related.
Providing technical documentation to the machine tool builders
MTB product training
Workout standard applications and documentation
On-site support for machine start-up (CNC, drives, PMC)
Generation of MTB support with the following content:
Quote preparation/checking, technical descriptions, technical comments
Quote technical presentations
£45 - 55k
