FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors. In addition, they offer technologies for certain other sectors including automation, the production of animal feed and biomass pellets, pumps, machinery for nonwovens and plastic films, steam boiler plants, biomass boilers and gasification plants for energy generation, flue gas cleaning plants, plants for the production of panelboards (MDF), thermal sludge utilization, and biomass torrefaction plants.
Strong background in CNC machines, control systems, electrical and mechanical competencies with computer literacy.
Fully conversant with engineering drawings, BOM, parts lists and O&M manuals.
Good practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance.
Good technical knowledge of general process plant.
Able to meet the minimum skill level in servicing Andritz core products
Be able to write/ tailor RAMS (Risk Assessment - Method Statement)
Good communication skills - able to work well with customers and colleagues
Possess forward planning abilities, assessment skills, and capable of inspiring customer confidence through the delivery of hands-on engineering support.
Self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
Capable of lone working.
Ensure that planned and reactive maintenance activities are carried out efficiently, ensuring that customer requirements are met.
Be prepared to be trained on, and work on, any Andritz product in any application as directed by Line Manager (centrifuge, filtration, screening, thermal drying and other products).
Identify spare parts required to carry out repair.
Investigate reasons for breakdown and recommend preventative improvements, promote continuous improvement, product feedback/customer suggestion.
Provide technical product training and basic user functionality training to customers when required
Work within and provide a safe working environment, complying fully with Company, Legal and Customer Health & Safety requirements.
Provide fully detailed, accurate and good quality Service Reports and Time Sheets
Report customer complaints/ NCRs in a timely and professional fashion.
Be the eyes and ears of the Company on customer sites… look for opportunities for service and capital business on Andritz product installed base or competitor equipment. Pass on leads to Andritz Service Sales personnel.
Provide information to the sales support team to allow high quality and accurate quotations to be submitted to the customer in a timely manner.
Be flexible with business needs and be prepared to change work pattern to cover personnel absences and/or any major breakdowns as required.
Adopt electronic data systems as required by the Company.
Up to 30K based on experience.
Home based but would be ideal to be based closer to the office (ST5 postcode area).
