HEAD OF INSTALLATIONS - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
My client operates within the automation / intralogistics / materials handling industry. They have a worldwide presence. They have various sites in the UK, and have shown an ongoing commitment to developing their staff and boast one a low staff turnover.
Engineering Knowledge is essential
Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Experience with Protean is beneficial but training will be provided.
Strong organisational skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels within the organisation, suppliers and our customers.
The ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Due to expansion we have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Installations to join our Team.
Reporting directly into the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be confident, exceptionally organised and possess a very 'hands on' approach to their role within this growing business.
What the Head of Installations will do:
Responsible for working with and overseeing our Installations Team which includes the office based coordination team and engineers.
Tasked with delivering and installing our equipment to our Nationwide network of customers within service specification and timescales
Provide coaching and development to our team of engineers and office based staff to improve quality standards
Review post installation surveys to ensure that installation standards are being adhered to.
On site time will be required to ensure installation effectiveness.
Provide technical support to fleet engineers and office to overcome any issues arising on a day to day basis.
Undertake ad hoc duties as necessary and instructed by company Directors.
On site time and motion studies to ensure that installations are being carried out on time and effectively.
Be responsible for the safe working practices of all engineers
Working and achieving agreed performance targets for the department including; Turnover, Engineer Utilization, Overtime, Overrun to Budgeted labour, Job failure rate etc)
