SYSTEMS PROJECT MANAGER - WMS

• Supplier / Customer management - establish productive business relationships with all levels of suppliers and customers (internal and external). • Project manage the systems elements of integrated projects, supporting the overall project manager, through the complete software project implementation life cycle, leading to customer handover. • Project Manage a portfolio of Systems Upgrades and Enhancement • Ensuring that the company's Stage-gate process is adhered to, during the implementation of projects. • Use the tools available to maintain control and report on project progress. • Scope Control - control the deliverables, so that changes in scope are formally recorded and variations agreed in a timely manner. • Variations - ensure that variations are understood, presented to customers and actively pursued. • Software budget management - control project costs, deliver within budget and reporting thereof, in the agreed timescales. • Implementation - ensure the customer has gained an adequate level of knowledge to be able to professionally execute the software delivered. • Prepare and maintain the project plan and schedule - control project time-scales, deliver on time. • Resource management and development - direction, motivation, training and decision support to staff allocated to your projects. Recognise and manage differing skill sets, performance and resolve conflicts. • Organisation of the procurement of Systems project hardware and it's installation on site.
• The key for this role will be implementation skills (happy to train on the software) but we need someone that can be engaged from cradle to grave. • Someone from a WMS / ERP / bespoke solutions background would do well. • This role has a clear career path into a more senior position. Purpose • To manage multiple concurrent systems projects through to project completion. • To manage projects to specification, to time, to cost and to a quality acceptable to the customer, managing risks and stated benefits. • To engage and support Integration Project Managers, controlling the systems elements of integration projects. • To ensure Employees at all times work in accordance with the appropriate Risk Assessment, Safe System of Work or Work Place Risk Assessment in order to maintain the highest standards of work place safety
£50-60k plus car
Northampton based with travel as needed
