PROJECT ENGINEER - UPS
Our clients company was originally formed in the late 1980’s to provide a reliable source of service support and engineering expertise in the field of uninterruptible power supplies and power conditioning. The company initially commenced trading near Peterborough, but at the end of 1989 it acquired its own premises in Hitchin to ensure that stock levels and spares could be increased to support an expanding customer base.
To arrange delivery, positioning & commissioning of new UPS projects on time and in budget. Own the full life cycle of the project. Responsible for delivering regular and informative communication with the customer and work colleagues. Deliver customer service to meet or exceed both the customer and business expectations. Inbound and outbound call handling both internal and external calls. Attend site visits. Attend meetings internal or external. Responsible for managing day to day workstreams. Responsible for maintaining regular updates of the project time table system. Responsible for the informative information added to our engineer scheduling system (MEWS). Responsible for resolving any customer enquiries or complaints. Arranging all logistics to complete delivery. Positioning & commissioning of new UPS projects with customer. Allocation of correct manpower. Visit to customer sites. Ensuring all goods are ready on the correct day & are delivered to the customer's requirements. Updating relevant databases. Completing Method Statements & Risk Assessments. Delivering excellent customer service. Responding in a timely manner. Working as a team. Going the extra mile. Attend ad-hoc training session for constant development of knowledge and skill sets.
UPS experience. Site visiting. Excellent customer service. Attention to detail. Work under own initiative. Hold excellent organizational skills. Problem solving skills. Adaptable. Electrical & electronics (nice to have). Qualifications: GCSE (or equivalent) in Math's & English. Full clean driving license. ONC (or equivalent) in electronic engineering. (Nice to have) Additional Comments: Must be a well organised. Have good communication skills and have the ability to work as a team. Works well under pressure. Can meet customer deadlines. The job holder may be required to perform other duties deemed necessary by Management.
