Exceptional mechanical /electrical ability. Qualified to a minimum of ONC. Ability to understand and interpret complex GA Drawings, Persistence in technical troubleshooting and problem resolution with a positive attitude under pressure. Being able to fault find and modify PLC, Servo and HMI programs ideally with Rockwell STUDIO 5000 and Siemens TIA portal. Abilty to work unsupervised in a pressurised environment meeting agreed deadlines. Excellent communication and team skills. Excellent customer facing skills.
To install, commission new packaging systems supplied by SKMS all the way through to SAT machine acceptance. Attend breakdowns on packaging systems supplied by SKMS. Workshop duties including machine builds and pre installation testing and commissioning. The role will involve overseas travel and weekend working when necessary. Assist with designs where necessary on projects including upgrades. To assist with software and mechanical/electrical installations and commissioning of packaging machinery supplied by SKMS within agreed delivery schedules and costs both in our workshop in Yate and at customers Installations. To identify opportunities for technical and cost improvements. To Ensure support for adequate and effective training programs for customers during installations. To assist with upgrades, modifications were appropriate. To support the provision of a comprehensive customer after sales service including repairs, fault finding and customer training programmes. To play an active role in continuous improvement programmes.
