DIGITAL CONTENT SPECIALIST
Our Client is a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products, abatement solutions and related value-added services. Their products are integral to manufacturing processes for semiconductors, flat panel displays, LEDs and solar cells; are used within an increasingly diverse range of industrial processes including power, glass and other coating applications, steel and other metallurgy, pharmaceutical and chemical; and for both scientific instruments and a wide range of R&D applications. They have over 4,200 employees - operating in approximately 30 countries worldwide - engaged in the design, manufacture and support of high technology vacuum and exhaust management equipment, as well as a rich 94-year history serving a $6+ Billion market.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the corporate communications team, and work on the digital innovation projects that they are running. This role will primarily support the website and Intranet projects but will have broader responsibilities within Social Media as well. The digital projects will be looking to consolidate the technology used as well as improve how content is generated and maintained and how we collaborate across the business area to ensure our client remain seen as technology leaders. Intranet and Knowledge Management: •••Audit the Intranet landscape with Vacuum technique and report back on the behaviour •••Map out the landscape across the business paying special attention to the tools used and the teams that manage the content •••Investigate knowledge management capabilities across VT to understand where the business area stands •••Work with the Corporate Communications team to support either the evolution of 'The Hub' to fit the business area or build a new platform •••Attend webinars, events and conferences based around technology and methodology for Knowledge management to ensure we are seen as the technology leaders •••Monitor site owners to ensure they are using best practice methods /// Websites: •••Ensure the content on the corporate communications pages of the website and kept up-to-date and regularly refreshed to ensure we keep on top of SEO and remain first in choice, first in mind •••Search engine optimisation - work with Atlas Copco web competency team to develop strategies to increase the number of visitors to the Edwards website •••Work with the Divisional Communications Managers to ensure their website content is regularly refreshed and maintained - helping where needed •••Use web analytics to monitor performance of the website and suggest improvements where necessary •••Monitor competitor websites to ensure we are leading and remain seen as the technology leaders •••Work with the Corporate Communications team to support the migration of all Vacuum Technique brands to the Atlas Copco Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform •••Monitor other VT branded websites to ensure they are utilising best practice methods and regularly maintained and up-to-date •••Support the Corporate Communications Team with the build of the new Edwards website and webshop /// Social Media: •••Help co-ordinate and adapt the creation of digital content to be used for corporate communications to support the Edwards brand promise across the relevant social media channels - specifically LinkedIn •••Maintain a strong online company voice through social media channels and monitor use of the Edwards channels to ensure the Divisions and Customer Centres are following the brand guidelines •••Contribute to social media engagement and brand awareness campaigns •••Maintain a detailed digital content calendar that can be shared with Divisional Communications Managers and Customer Centre Communications Specialists to ensure regular engagement on social media channels throughout the year /// Digital - General: •••Make information more interactive by creating case studies, videos, infographics, blogs, forums etc across digital channels Research new online opportunities that may benefit the business including mobile, apps, social media and development of thought leadership contribution •••Stay up-to-date with digital developments and evaluate their use, presenting recommendations to the Global Marketing & Communications Manager •••Monitor KPIs and report return on investment of all digital channels to the Global Marketing & Communications Manager •••Work with the Internal Communications Manager and Atlas Copco web competency team to ensure the asset library is maintained and kept-up-to-date ///
•• Bachelors or above degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering •• Record of CPD through CIM or other recognised body desirable •• Good writing and editorial skills - writing for the web •• Knowledge of content and document management systems •• Intranet design - user journeys and basic information architecture •• Planning skills with ability to work on multiple projects •• Ability to translate complex information into simple messages using everyday language and to tailor to audience. •• Knowledge & experience in digital & social platforms & apps •• Familiarity with web design and content management systems •• Understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyse and interpret data •• Target orientated and self motivated •• Good interpersonal skills •• Attention to detail •• Good ability to prioritise and work on own initiative •• The ability to translate a verbal message into a visual and graphical presentation •• Influencing and coaching skills •• Analytical mind to interpret data •• Networking and relationship building skills •• Excellent analytical and project management skills •• An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines •• Strong verbal and written communication skills
£35k plus package
