SYSTEMS ENGINEER - LV POWER
Our client is a manufacturer of LV power distribution systems including both conventional and intelligent motor control centres, switchboards, package substations, bus ducts, PLC and instrumentation panels. The company has full in-house facilities to cover all aspects of design, manufacture, test, installation, commissioning, maintenance and training.
The ability to manage/prioritise activities associated with a project from conceptual design through to commissioning. Design, software programming, testing, commissioning and documentation to meet the customer's requirements and the specific contract specifications. Programming software using the latest technology and best practice engineering techniques. Effective communication skills to ensure that team-working objectives are achieved. Appreciation of IEC1131 specifications and programming techniques. Understanding of ISO9001: 2001 TickIT and associated methodologies and procedures. Experience of programming PLC and SCADA software systems across a wide range of systems including amongst others. Minimum 2 years PLC, HMI & SCADA programming. Minimum of ONC in an engineering discipline, but preferably degree qualified. Skills accredited or working towards an approved vendor certification such as for Rockwell, Siemens or Mitsubishi Certified Engineer.
To manage specific projects which are allocated to your and to ensure the overall success of the Project (project to be implemented). To communicate effectively and in a professional manner with internal members of staff, the Customer, Consultants and Sub-contractors involved in the Project. To ensure that all design, software programming, testing, commissioning and documentation meet the customer's requirements and the specific contract specification. To programme software using the latest technology and preferred engineering techniques. To monitor the costs on the specific projects allocated with minimum cost incurred and maximum profitability. To attend regular Contract Reviews with your Project Manager and other team members to ensure that any issues are resolved. To ensure that variations are issued to the customer as soon as they occur and that the information and associated work are processed internally and externally.
