PANEL BUILDING TECHNICIAN - ENTERTAINMENT
Our client is a World Market Leaders in the field of automation, staging and engineering for the live entertainment industry.
NVQ Level 3 or above in in Electrical Installation; and/or NVQ Level 1 or above in Engineering (preferably electrical). Proficient in riveting, installation of related hardware, wiring and utilisation of hand tools to perform these tasks including air powered tools, soldering equipment, jigs and saws, crimpers and other related equipment. Flexible approach to work; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to carry out panel work to a high standard; can work to strict deadlines and targets; excellent attention to detail; ability to work with both digital and paper mediums; and The ability to assemble from both verbal and written instructions.Proven work experience in wiring electrical products and control systems.
Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as panels, junction boxes, enclosures and cables. Interpret schematics, Bill of Materials, drawings and manufacturer guidelines in order to achieve the desired results. Prepare pre-assembly metalwork and electrical cable preparation. Layout and assemble electrical components to control cabinet panels and wire all electrical components onto panels. Interface with lead technicians in order to accomplish goals. Maintain tools, work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Maintain a safe working environment and follow safe working practices adhering to all regulatory requirements OSHA, EPA and ISO9001. Occasionally travel to complete site work and qualify for a CSCS licence. Collaborate and communicate with other Technicians. Respond to standstills by reporting to the Lead Technician or Line Manager. Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will improve the build quality or efficiency.
