APPLICATIONS ENGINEER-SYSTEMS INTEGRATION-UTILITIES
To accurately interpret our client's high level project requirements at the front end of project delivery and prepare detailed and professional project handover documentation that provides internal project teams with the highest level of detailed knowledge to ensure the delivery of project excellence.
A Technical (Engineering) qualification an advantage, with several years relevant experience and supported by a good general education.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
To undertake client site surveys at sites throughout the UK (can this be Northwest?)
To liaise directly with our client's representatives maintaining effective communication at all times to ensure that their requirements are fully understood.
To produce accurate, detailed and professional documentation including feasibility studies, reports, definition, costings and implementation proposals as part of our United Utilities project work.
To actively engage and communicate at all levels with the Technology and Engineering Solutions strategic business units on a regular basis to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards.
To play an active role in project reviews, forecasts and follow up activities for ongoing projects.
To critically analyse existing processes and participate in project close-outs to ensure that areas for improvement are continually identified and implemented.
The Job holder will need to interact regularly with colleagues and clients at all levels, good written and oral communication skills and a professional attitude is essential.
The Job Holder should have a good understanding of process and industrial control systems, particularly PLCs, Scada, industrial networks & DCS.
The Job Holder should have experience of surveys, feasibility studies, producing reports, definition and implementation proposals preferably in the water industry.
The Job Holder must be fully conversant with a wide range of IT tools, particularly, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.
