Electrical Power Engineering qualification, minimum HNC level preferred. Computer literacy with commonly used MS Office applications and other relevant proprietary software packages
Broad knowledge of power engineering plant and equipment, i.e. Transformers/Rectifiers, Switchgear, cables, HV/LV protection schemes. Rail, DNO or equipment manufacturer experience, (either directly employed or via a sub-contractor) or experience on sites with a large HV network. Manufacturers training on a variety of protection relays and switchgear (e.g. Micom range, Schneider Sepam, Siemens, ABB). Proven track record in testing and commissioning of HV networks.

Provide Electrical Engineering expertise throughout project life-cycle (tendering/ procurement/ design/ installation/ testing & commissioning) Preparation/modification of commissioning plans and method statements. Commissioning HV/LV switchgear, transformers and associated plant into service. Pre-commissioning checks. Attendance at Factory Acceptance Tests where required.
G59 witness testing. Daily progress reporting. Client interface/meetings. Bid/tender assistance and occasional sales support. External audits support.

£40-60,000 depending on experience plus benefits.
