SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER E&I PROJECTS-AUTOMATION CONTROLS - ENERGY & UTILITIES
Delivering a series of major ICA projects for clients in its Energy and Infrastructure (Power Gen, Utilities, and Water) Sector. A role has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the existing Project Management team in running one or more of these important projects. Reporting to the E&I Operations Manager this role will require previous experience gained in delivering major projects of £1m plus, based on PLC/ SCADA and/or DCS Automation to the Power Generation and Water industries or similar. Some experience of safety systems would be beneficial. This role will include travel to customer sites.
Demonstrable full project management experience delivering E,C&I solutions with a track record of success - to time, spec, budget. Understanding of PLC/SCADA and/or DCS engineering environment within an established quality management system. Skilled practitioner of the Microsoft Project suite of software, including Microsoft Project. Must have good customer facing skills. Strong leadership skills, including team management experience. Current driving licence. Desirable Requirements: A recognized project management qualification (for example, PRINCE 2, APMP) and/or certified training. Ideally been involved with graduate engineer development within projects. Solid grasp of Quality Management in an ISO9001 environment. Any recent experience of project proposals and general bid work would be welcomed. To have delivered a safety system to SIL 1 or SIL 2.
Role Description: Managing Control Systems projects in the E&I sector to demanding timescales. Ensuring that Projects are delivered to timescales, specification and budget. Full financial responsibility for projects ranging from c. £1Million - £Millions in value. Experienced in the management of diverse sub-contractors. People-management responsibility for leading and motivating concurrent teams of software/systems engineers (typically 10+). Hold regular report and progress meetings with clients. Assist in securing future business by cultivating customer expectations through excellent delivery. Responsibility for Quality Control for all projects involved.
