Started in 1993 as a controls & automation company, our client has expanded its capabilities over the past 20 years to include process and electrical expertise and are now able to offer full turnkey process solutions, recently rolling out a series of multimillion pound dry material handling projects in bakery.

Development of software for turnkey control systems including:

PLCs (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Schneider)
HMIs (e.g. Beijers, Allen-Bradley, Schneider)
SCADA (e.g. iFix, InTouch, FTView)
d) Programmable functional safety systems (e.g. ASi Safe)

Interpretation of customer requirements.
Development of specification documents to clearly describe the functional requirements of a system.
Identification of novel solutions to often complex technical situations.
Management of projects to deliver customer requirements to budget and within agreed deadlines.
Liaison with other departments as required to ensure successful project roll out.
Documentation of software solutions developed to facilitate support and future development, recognising the importance of clearly commented and structured software.
Test and commission control systems software.
Develop and deliver customer training programmes.
Provide second line support of systems and assist the Service & Support team.
Support other engineers within the organisation by providing advice, coaching and sharing knowledge.
Promote and develop Olympus Automation Ltd's positive reputation with customers through professional conduct and appearance at all times.
Report both good and adverse feedback from customers.
To be an active and positive contributor member of the team, both within the Software department and the company as a whole.
Be prepared and desire to update and grow professional and technical knowledge through formal and informal CPD.
