ELECTRICAL ENGINEER- HV SWITCHGEAR
Leading Specialists in High Voltage and Low Voltage distribution service including switchgear maintenance, installation, commissioning, repairs cable installation condition monitoring trend analysis.
Up to date knowledge of current electrical regulations and relevant legislation
Must have initiative, self-motivation and the confidence to make decisions
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in teams and be flexible to working times.
Good Working Knowledge of the Types and uses of Switchgear
Preferably an Authorised or Senior Authorised Person with DNO Experience
Working Knowledge and experience of Electrical Installations.
A degree in electrical engineering
HNC/HND Electrical Engineering
ONC electrical engineering
IOSH Working/managing Safety
CCNSG Safety Passport
Duties will include:
Leading a team to complete HV/LV Electrical Maintenance.
Detailed Defect Reporting
Testing Protection Devices
HV and LV Switching
Managing Electrical Installations and Defect Remedial Works
Carrying out detailed surveys.
Assisting in pricing work elements
Contract Management of assigned works
Testing and Commissioning
Ensure compliance with regulations for engineering aspects of delegated projects.
Keep Abreast of Engineering Practices and working guidelines
Creation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
