Our client manufactures vehicle loaders which offer innovative solutions for vehicle loading, warehouse distribution and assembly line set up.

Minimum 5yrs of managing a department in a similar engineering
environment in parcel handling or FMCG/manufacturing.
Technically competent in electrical standards and correct methods of control
PC literate with excellent communications skills capable of dealing with people from all levels of the organisation.

Manage a small team of electrical designers and production staff liaising with mechanical engineers to ensure production schedules are maintained.
Ensure high demand of schematic wiring diagrams & BOMs are produced to a given timeline.
Maintain engineering structure to ISO & European standards
Run and take ownership with large projects from start to finish, developing software and network to control stand alone machines and full conveyor systems.
Introduce new market products into design development.
Competent with using packages such as Eplan P8, Crouzet and Acad/Solidworks
Essential experience with developing logic, HMI and network programs from scratch using Siemens TIA portal and other manufactures PLCs
Ability to produce design risk assessments and SIL calculations
Extract key notes from customer specifications and implement into design
Produce functional design specifications and handover documentation
Ensure team is efficient to produce drawings and BOM to high demand timelines.
Mechanical engineering background (not essential).
Working with other groups Sales / Procurement / Production.
System integration and development.
