EUROPEAN MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - NORTH WEST

SUMMARY OF ROLE To be the English language expert in the European marketing team, validating all printed and on-line copy written in the English language. To lead and manage the process of developing message strategies for written copy. To provide leadership and expertise in the development of online content. PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Validating all print and on-line copy written in the English language prior to publication 2. To develop and manage our guidelines for writing for the web (from a key words / SEO viewpoint) and ensuring they are complied with. 3. To develop, implement and manage a robust process for communicating product news internally, to distributors and to customers. 4. Work with the European Marketing Communications Manager to develop and manage a robust and workable process for formulating the right messaging for all communications 5. To act in a supervisory role over other marketing communications staff in Europe to ensure communications are distributed and actioned. 6. To work with other marketing communications staff and the product and segment marketing teams to develop the messaging for all material that is created 7. To interview customers and internal staff to gather all the information needed for press releases, articles, brochure and web copy 8. To work with the European Marketing Communications Manager to develop, implement and manage a social media programme 9. To liaise with agencies as required to develop content in the English Language 10. To assist others in the marketing team as necessary in the creation of print and web copy 11. To perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by management DIMENSIONS AND SCOPE (if applicable) • Responsible for communications throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Qualification in Public relations, Marketing or Journalism • Experience in writing on-line and printed copy. • Has previous experience of working in a large multi-national company or in an agency role working with large clients. • Understands the elements of a message strategy and can demonstrate the steps required to create. • English as a first language, able to demonstrate excellent command of the English language both spoken and written. • PC literate and able to use all main "Office" programs. 30-33k basic salary, plus benefits.
